It is a new week and everything is back to normal now. Decorations down and put away, thank you darling Vin XX and the TV is showing the normal programmes again thank goodness. All the adverts are for furniture items or holidays or loans I suppose very tempting for those who have gone too mad on their credit cards. One of the disadvantages of having a large family possibly.
Today it is very cold and started off frosty and hasn't really warmed up all day. There was a disturbance over the weekend at the back of our houses, quite a few sheds were fiddled with or opened but nothing taken, Vin found some keys in the entry at the back of the properties and it later transpired that they belonged to a chap who lives in the adjoining property in another road. They were security keys and would have been very expensive to replace apparently so he was quite pleased. Well done Mr Fixit!
Little Jessie hasn't been out today, no prizes for guessing why.
Vin had her on his front this morning staring at him I think she would sit there all day if he left her to it!

All Gone!
All gone for another year! So sad when it all comes down and everywhere looks bare without the trees and decorations. Vin has done a sterling job ferrying things up and down stairs and packing away. I love all of the little decorations we have collected over the years and it is a shame when they go away. But, as Vin says it won't be long before they are out again!
Little Jessie has been out and about today having a nosey into the boxes and other things. She has also chucked up a couple of times this morning, Vin reckons it is a hair ball. She seems to be all right at the moment and is currently in her basket trying to get some sleep.
The comfiest spot in the house!

Cold and Blowy Still!
Yes still cold and blowy but not as bad as yesterday by any means. As the day wore on it did get cooler though.
Again we decided not to go out anywhere, it really isn't the weather to go anyway, and it is a bit early to go for our monthly coffees yet. We usually like to wait till the kids are back in school anyhow, and then it is quieter.
Today Vin has been trying to organise the computer, since the AOL is closing down over here. We have been with AOL ever since we got the computer many years ago and I for one am not used to any other system, so it is a real pain in the proverbial. He has set up some of my favourites on google chrome so we are still ok for keeping the important ones mostly. It really is a matter of getting used to a whole other method of working. Why on Earth they can't just leave things alone I don't know.
Little Jessie is of course oblivious to all of that and is sleeping in her basket.
Nearly falling out of her basket.

Horrible Weather!
We were contemplating going out today, but in the event the weather has turned horrible with strong winds forecast and rain, so we didn't bother.
Vin has been a busy boy and done the bedding, we had a new set from Northern Nights so he has put that on. I had a lovely shower and hairwash so nice and clean to ggo into the bedding! He is presently in the bath too so we are a clean pair!
Little Jessie has been mostly in her basket today, that is after waking her daddy up at some ungodly hour in the morning. At first he didn't move and she went away, then came back at a better hour when he was getting up to go for our coffees.

All Over!
Well that is it for another year! Christmas gone! New Year gone!. We have a few days left until we take the decorations down, in our house that is to be done by the 6th otherwise it is unlucky. Shame really, you get used to them being up, and they make the room look so cheerful. It was a nice Christmas this year because our Jane was home and was really nice.
Usual horrible weather for people going back to work today, very drizzly and now rainy. Vin said the fields on the way out of the village we live in are soaked, very near to flooding and the ditches are full. That will take some draining away. Apart from the snowy period earlier last month it has been largely a very wet winter so far.
Little Jessie hasn't been out much at all, she prefers to be inside, nice and warm in her basket, and who can blame her?
My little hutch Keep Out!
Mmmm Best spot in the house!

One in One Out!
One out today, that was Vin who took himself off to Tesco so he didn't have to go tomorrow. With the New Year weekend looming he didn't fancy going there tomorrow so went today instead. He got some logs from Homebase too so we are sorted for being warm. Goody!
I was the one who stopped in and Vin came home at around oneish so we had our coffee then. He was telling me that the roadworks are bad round there and it was causing huge tailbacks round the Tesco car park. Took him ages to get out of there. Stocked up again for the week and also got two Costa cards which were %15 off so quite a good deal. All set up for next year then!
Little Jessie who isn't really "little" she is more like a football! was on the bed very very early this morning. I just woke up briefky and saw a head in the dark with two little ears sticking up. She went after a bit over my feet, and came back again later apparently for feeding. She knows what she wants that cat!
Jane's Christmas pudding, warm chocolate brownie with a good ice-cream.
How to enjoy the fire! Laid back catty.

A Quiet Day!
Apart from the doorbell going off three times! Firstly was the parcel for our next door neighbour. Second was actually for me except I wasn't expecting anything, it was my delivery from Bullens. Third was the electric man who had come to read the meter. Little Jessie must be getting used to our doorbell because she doesn't run away upstairs like she used to. So at least we have moved forwards there.
We didn't go out today mainly because we have got lots of stuff in the fridge and freezer. All we needed was a loaf and some milk so Vin got those from the shop down the road so we were sorted. He says he might go to Tesco tomorrow. I don't think he fancies going on saturday because of the New Year buying frenzy!
Nice to see little Jessie not moving when the bell went she has been in her basket just raising her head once in a while! She does get up to miaow for food though.
I love this one. Our Jane took it on her camera phone, really good image.
And this one is one of her best. It was on Christmas day when she woke up enough to go after her Daddy's plate. He was having our pudding which was a nice Brownie, with a blob of creme fraiche and a few raspberries, tastefully decorated with a few white chocolate stars. Very yummy XX
