Tootsie Day!

Today it is up earlyish for the podiatry appointment. It was a lady called Selena who was really friendly and bubbly. She rang up before she came to the house because she had come out of the local road and didn't know which way to go from there. i gave her instructions, and she was herein a few minutes.  Did the padding of the feet, and put the padding on the outside so the feet could be moisturised which makes a change.
Vin went off to Formby to get a car wash because the car is covered in the sticky stuff from the horrible sycamore trees outside our house. they are a pain in the neck drop bits all year except for the winter when they are bare. Anyway the car wash at Tesco is still broken, and the other garage which has a jet wash is totally closed so that was no good either. he rang up from the garden centre up the road to say he had got some bedding plants for the barrel at the front, begonias they are so they should add a nice bit of colour.
Very blowy today, not rainy yet althugh it is forecast for sometime today i think.
Jessie was on the bed but when the podiatrist arrived she must have jumped off and hidden under Jane's bed because she isn't around at the moment. No doubt she will come out when she wants to!
Yoo Hoo! You can come out now!

Still Lockdown!

Well it is supposed to be, but judging by the pictures  in the papers this morning the world and his wife were out yesterday on the beaches, parks etc.,  Bank Holidayon Monday too, sogoodnessknows how many will be out. Apparently there was a five mile queue in Formby yesterday! people trying to get to the beach and the sand dunes. Traffic log jams, wou do wonder if it is worth it.
Jane rang up yesterday on her "Boris Walk" she has a nice park not far from where she live so she goes round the park about three times. good for her. Maybe she will take up marathon running next!!
Vin was out in the garden in the afternoon with little jack from next door playing. he is a reallylively little cat with a real character. Vin was watering some of the plants because it has been very dry actually, not much rain this month at all, and Jack was dodging the hose pipe. he didcome into the house at one point, not near jessie shewould run amile! and had a run round the middleroom, and a play, then he went off.

I am waiting and hiding! If he is around I'm off!

Blooming!

Vin's trip to the garden centre yesterday proved quite fruitful, he came back with some nice colourful bedding plants and a jar of marmalade that he had run out of.
At the moment he is doing the basket over the front door, and possibly the barrel. Also in the back garden with some plant pots. Just noticed little Jack from next door flying past him, I think!! He is so speedy can't be sure. Jessie won't go out there if he is around, she is so timid she stops inside. We never see Jack's sister Millie though think she is timid too, stays in with our neighbour.
Jane is on two eight eight days at the moment, she cycled to work yesterday and wasn't sure whether she was going to today, we shall have to wait and see. She tends to ring up at lunchtime, and also when she is on her wy home.   Seems that Man United have started their free food supplies to the hospital again and she was having a three bean chilli last night for her tea. What a good thing for them to do.
Who's a cuddly girl then?

Another Weekend!

Been and gone, done and dusted.  Same old same old really, ending with our crosswords yesterday which we enjoy doing on a Sunday morning listening to the Steve Wright Sunday love songs which we record.
Lovely film on Saturday night. It is ages since we watched a proper film, it was such an enjoyable film we both enjoyed. Called "The Guernsey literary potato peel pie Society" and I have just bought the book on Amazon for the kindle too. Might get round to reading that sometime.  Great film though.
Lockdown still in full flow, even if the relaxation of the rules have been lifted a bit. People can go out for exercise and garden centres open again but that is about it.  Vin went off to the local ones this morning to get some plants for the front garden and some compost. he did quite a bit of weeding and clearing out last week and flled the green bin which was emptied this morning. Well done Vin!
Jessieis isolating again on jane's bed,   all curled up on the little baby blanket, looks lovely.

This is what she has been doing each night for the ast three nights. Just lies there on his front staring up at him.
Good timing vin it has just started raining.

Wake Daddy Up Not Me!

Some ungodly time this morning I felt Jessie trampling all over the bed. proper woke me up shewas all over the bed and eventually jumped off over my feet of course so I turned over. Vin said what's going on? and I said it's your cat, he hadn't felt her at all! No it wasn't a figment of my imagination it was definitely her , he said he probably was on the other side so didn't hear her.  Went back to sleep after a while and got up at our usual time later on.  She reappeared while he was having his breakfast trying to get his toast! Cheeky monkey. Is now fast asleep on Jane's bed up by the pillow bit spreading herself around.
Vin rang up the hospital this morning to cancel the eye screening that wehad for next week. I wasn;t entirely happy about going for that there, after being in our isolation for all of these weeks. he explained that and we were put down as a cancellation. Our jane wasn't happy about us going anyway so we took her advice and the appointment has been deferred.
House insurance came in this morning and that is £44 cheaper than last year so that is good and we will stick with LV who have always been very good anyway. His new car insurance starts today too, he is now with the R.A.C. so that is a change but it was cheaper for the same service.
What me? I don't wake people up, look how innocent I am!!

Overslept!!

Yesterday we did but not this morning. We think that it was because we got up early the day before for the podiatrist, we only got up at a quarter pst eleven!!! our Jane was horrified because she had been up since half past five to get ready for her eight to eight day. And, she cycled to work as well. Puts us to shame really!!
Instead of going to Tesco yesterday as he has been in the habit of doing, he went this morning instead.  We did get up reasonably early this morning so no trouble. He did set the alarm but in the end he doesn't need it, he tends to get up as soon as he wakes, but I don't, I tend to go on sleeping till I am woken up.

The weather has changed a little bit, yesterday and the day before was, definitely cooler as the weather people forecasted. Today is nice and sunny though still a bit cool I think.
We had a bit of a shopping spree yesterday, we ordered some coffee pods from Amazon, also some body soap in the flavour we like. Why do we always refer to scents as flavours? there is a tendency to do that with scented candles as well.  Daft really.
Garden centres are opened again from yesterday but I don't think that we will be going any time soon, not till things are easier anyway. Showed one on the local news last night with queues round the car park, all social distancing of course, waiting to go in. Don't thin it is worth that.
Little Jack from next door is back!! It is ages since he has been around, but Vin was outside getting the bin in and he appeared, ready to attack his feet. He did get in the house and was going mad running at high speed through the rooms. Thankfully jessie wasn't around but hibernating under Jane's bed so was quite safe.  Nice to see you back to normal Jackie boy!
Where is he? I'm waiting to run!!

Up Early (ish)

Had to get going quite early this morning because Mark the podiatrist was due round about a quarter past nine but he came, sat in his car, probably writing his notes and then came in. Jessie had been asleep on the sofa but she knew something was going on and perked up her ears. When he did eventually come in, she shot off upstairs like streaked lightening. I think she is now under the bed in Jane's room.
All done and dusted by ten so upstairs for an early go on the computer this morning. Not much going on really, things are very quiet the lockdown has eased a little with garden centres opening tomorrow, and some people going back to work from yesterday. As long as you do the social distancing it seems that you  are alright to do so.  Not that that affects us much at all.
I am on the lookout! Anyone comes in and I'm off!
