Starte4d with a delivery from the Tassimo Site. We ordered some coffees for the machine on Friday, and I got an email on Friday evenng to say that they were being dispatched. Lo and behold they arrived this morning. That is pretty good going by anybodys standards. great firm. We had ordered some ones you can't buy in the supermarkets,so we have a great choice now.
Went out to Tesco this morning for our veggie shopping, and We had a £4 off forty pound spend coupon that we wanted to use so went round with that in mind, Vin adding the costs up as we went. Got there quite easily actually with a few things for storage, and cat food etc., mounts up.
Then had a coffee in the Costa shop attached to the Tesco. Very nice too, not too busy although quite a few in there. I had an Americano, and Vin had a flat white. Sat lingering over that for a while then we realised it was twenty past one! and it was getting on for lunchtime so off home. Could have sat there all day actually people watching. very interesting.
Tonight we are having:
Pizza with mushrooms and extra cheese.
green salad with baby plum tomatoes and avocado
potato salad for moi and sweet noodle salad for Vin.

Not Washday!
But ironing day today. Didn't go out today because there was a pile of bedding etc., waiting to be ironed. So that was it for this morning.sheets, pillowcases quilt covers etc., takes an age but worth it.
Lovely coffee which we tried to take outside but it turned out it was a bit nippy so we didn't bother in the end. We tried some of the new ones that were delivered the other day, makes that you can't buy here in our supermarkets. Then I thought I'd put an order in for some of these on the tassimo site. Well ! What a nightmare that site is!!! terrible. not at all user friendly, definitely not straightforward. tried to register and the password wouldn't work!! So tried a few times to get the (forgotten) password as an email but it didn't work. Eventually did and we re-entered the same password as our new one. Worked! So Lord knows what that was about. Then it was a matter of choosing our coffees and adding up the total so we got the free delivery for £25. easier said than done. But, we got there eventually. Both Vin and I were losing the will to live after all of this. it took us over three quarters of an hour just to get one order done!! What a pain. They need telling. Big difference in web sites, some are terrific others quite frankly awful and the Tassimo one is one of the latter.
Bullens rang later for my delivery, so that's done for another month, delivery on the 8th October. Also i rang the Diabetic eye screening number to get my appointment changed from Southport Hospital where I have never been before to Litherland which is nearer, and much easier to park at. So that was good. now rearranged for the 14th October.
Little Bobby has just been miaowing at the top of the stairs. Really loud. She has started doing this for the last few months, sounds terrible. Wonder why she is doing it now, when she has never miaowed in the past.

Coffee Up !
Got up late this morning because of the cats! Silly o'clock this morning they decided to jump on the bed and tread all over us. I had one on the pillow and one on my hip. turned over and couldn't get back to sleep again, consequently when we did drop off it was late when we got up. no matter.Not like we are going anywhere.
As it happens as we were having our breakfast the phone went and his garage rang to say that his part had come in so he went off to Formby to get that done. Left his car at the garage and nipped into Tesco over the road to get some fizzy water and other bits. Ten minutes after he had gone the postman brought our coffee delivery from Amazon. We had ordered their discovery bundle of 22 discs for our machine, and a bit of a bonus because we actually got 23. All different types and makes and pretty good value. So it was a bit of a choice to choose our morning coffee today. I ended up with an Intenso and Vin had a milka with an espresso. Very nice too. We also had a little espresso after our lnch between us as well. Tastes lovely. Good bundle.
not much post today, but did get an appointment for a Diabetic screening at Southport Hospital for 10th october at 2.30. Bit if a pain, haven't been there before, i am used to Aintree, but they seem to be farming people out from there. Oh wel give it a whirl.

Off to the Garden Centre..
Off out to the garden centre over the way today to get our free coffees in before the month runs out. Trouble is with the Ladygreen ones is that if yu don't use them this month you lose them altogether. So it was over there we went. Had a bit of a mooch round the gift centre which is quite good but didn't see anything I liked, not this time anyway. Did look like they were putting things out for Christmas though!
Very very busy in the coffee shop/restraunt, loads of couples having lunches. Too cool and damp to sit outside today so had to stay indoors. I found a table and waited..Vin seemed to be an age, then when he finally came he said they have a new system now and people who want coffee have to wait in the queue..previously you just went straight to the till point. What a pain. He said he was almost giving up. Reasonable cup of coffee though you don't have a choice like you do at Dobbies. Missed the machine actually...
Vin wanted some compost to plant the bulbs that he got free, and I had another bit of a look round. The only thing I bought was a little pot of fruits for cheese with apricot and chardonnay. Mmmm sounds nice anyway.
Tonight we are having:

A bit of garlic bread for Vin.

Vegging Out...
off this morning to Formby. Vin is still waiting to get his car done, which apparently will only take about ten minutes but they are having to order the part, and it isn't in yet so he's a patient boy waiting.
So it was off to Waitrose for a change this morning. I like their veggies but they are a dearer option. Doesn't stop people shopping there though!
Took the opportunity to stock up on some of the nice cheese biscuits while we were there, and some of the ones you can't buy anywhere else.
After we had finished in there he went off to his garage to check they hadn't forgotten..they hadn't! then home. Lovely coffee outside with sunglasses on and sunhats. Really nice weather today, very warm, watch out for the wappies though.
Tonight we are having:
Cranberry and goat's cheese escalope
Little potatoes sliced and fried..or baked n the oven.
Carrots and broccoli and green beans
Hollandaise sauce.

Oh What a Night !
Thought I had been doing well !! Then very early this morning...bag exploded and sprung a leak. major bathroom job and bed change. Woke everybody up including the cats, and poor Vin was downstairs doing the bedding at some ungodly hour of the morning. Haven't a clue what caused that..the nly thing was that he had a touch of it as well so it must have been something we both had. Vin suspects the dip that we had over the weekend or some soft Brie cheese..probably the cheese in my opinion, but you just can't tell.
Anyway we went back to bed again eventually and didn't wake up till tenish. I feel so guilty..always causing trouble. I had an appointment at the hearing aid place this morning too, so there was no way I could go there, so he rang up and cancelled that, will make another sometime. Plans changed for today then.
Vin attacked his car this morning gave it a really good washing with something called "Muck attack" trouble is mainly the trees outside the house which are sycamores and terrible for dropping things on cars. Awful sticky resins and everything.
Then did the bathroom floor, and as I was pulling the mop bucket over the floor it tipped up !!!!!!! Water all over the floor !!! God what a day..not even the thirteenth either.
Seem to have settled down now anyway.. won't be having any soft cheese though!

Tis Friday..
Once again the weekend approaches. We were up fairly early and we took my money off to Tesco's to get the weekend things. Vin called in at the garage first to see if they had the part for his car, but they had to order it from Toyota so we went over the road to tescos instead.
Got all of our things plus some extras and some petrol on the way back. Another £35 in the tank.
Nearly had a tragedy with our wonderful coffee machine. Vin waqs doing our morning coffees when we got back from shopping and he put my Cafe Crem idisc in the machine. Then there was a bit of a bloww up and coffee everytwhere. Thought the machine had blown up ! turned out that the disc wasn't in quite correctly and had two holes in the disc top, so it had spurted everywhere. After clearing up he started again, and we had two perfect coffees in no time. The thought of not having the Tassimo is terrible !
Tonight we are having:
Crispy quorn fillets,
Chips 200 grms
green beans for moi and mushy peas for Vin.
