I used to hate Good Friday when I was young. It was a very churchy day with going to the stations of the cross and the kissing of the crucifix in the afternoon. it always had a sort of miserable feel to it, but at least there were the Easter eggs to look forward to.
Nowadays it is just another day really even though it is a bank holiday. The shops are mostly open as usual but the dentist and the chemist closed so it is nice and quiet here. They did a walk of witness round the village this morning finishing up at the catholic church for hot cross buns. No, we didn't go!
Yesterday I had the last of the appointments for the week at Aintree at the podiatry clinic. That was quite straightforward just a short wait and then in to get the foot dressed again. All seems to be clearing up quite well, got some more appointments for a few weeks ahead and left for home.
Little Jessie didn't move all the time we were out, she has had spells of going out a little bit, and Vin is so proud of the fact that she came in by herself. All of our cats have always come in on their own as they wanted but he is especially pleased that she does that on her own. That is when she is not sat on the step waiting to be let in!
In or out? Hmmm. Not too far from daddy though!
