Terrible Troubles!!

For the last two days we have had terrible problems with the computers.  Sunday morning I was on it for a bit in the morning and then it just went off and wouldn't come on again. Vin tried all sorts when he got home but it seems that the connection wasn't working at all.  Worse on Monday, no joy at all. Nothing he tried would work to get anywhere, and eventually we gave up and went downstairs to do my puzzles. Seems to be OK today (touch wood ) but we shall see. 
Very very hot here at the moment and there is quite a bit of complaining online about the heat.  The ones from Australia are used to it of course, but we are not here in Britain.  There is a tiny bit of breeze today which is wafting the blinds but it is still so warm it is uncomfortable. 
Up beyond Manchester on the moorsthere have been extremely bad moorland fires going on for about a week now. teams of firemen from all over the country are up trying to put them out which must be totally exhausting in this weather. There were some on the news last night saying they had been neglected and not given water or food for hours on end. That's not fair if it is true it must be terrible up there.  Doesn't seem to be any halt in the weather either, the forecast is for heat and sunshine for the rest of the week anyway. 
Got a lovely chatty letter from John and Ann this morning which vin read out to me at coffee time because  her writing is so tiny I cannot cope with it at all now. Her letters are lovely so interesting, very chatty. She writes a bit like I do generally about things that pop into her head or family doings, their family is so wide and big now puts us to shame !  I wish our Jane could get over there to see them sometime. 
Little Jessie has only been going out a little bit during the morning before the sun comes round and then comes in again. Don't blame her ! She has been sleeping in the front room mostly but comes into the middle room where we are and just flops. Lies there full length on the ground-carpet and waggles a tiny bit of the end of her tail. Don't blame her.
