Tootsie Traumas!

Not quite trauma, but tootsie treatment though. Friday was the day I had to go to Aintree for my toes to be wired and bones removed to straighten them up.  We had to be there for 7.30 which was a bit of a killer for us but we made it. The nice thing about that was that there were plenty of parking spaces in the car park. Waited when we got there and eventually we saw different people, one nurse who took the history and asked all the questions, then another who did a blood test, the anaesthetist who asked the questions about allergies amongst others , she was a lovely young woman and really pleasant.  Then saw Mr Butcher who was doing the op., he explained what he was doing again, and drew a lovely tree on my leg with leaves and berries and an arrow running through it! Also two arrows pointing to the toes he was doing. Bit of a sense of humour thing going on there.
Lastly the nurse who took me into a room to get ready, all undressed and just with the gown and dressing gown. Went down at about ten fifteen and don't really remember much till waking up in the recovery. Fairly quickly off to the next stage recovery and in time given some very welcome coffee and toast. Hospital toast is always lovely for some reason.
Vin picked me up late afternoon, nice to get home again. Quiet weekend and not going out today either.
Vin is off to get his car serviced tomorrow, so today he spent some time getting the back boot cleared of grime, caused by about two years of leaf dropping etc., terrible parking under the sycamore trees.
Little Jessie just went her usual way, doing what she always does, she has been out a bit today enjoying a bit of sunshine.
The best seat in the house according to Jessie.
