Yesterday it was an early podiatry appointment at Aintree. So it was up and at em for us. We got there on time and I only waited a short while before I went in. Made a change from last week when we were an hour waiting! You win some you lose some. Had my feet redone, and then went off to get a blood test done as required by the kidney people. Queue as long as your arm but the good thing was it moved quickly.Out fairly spot on so we decided it was early enough to go for a Costa at the Aintree retail park. Horrible weather, freezing cold and beginning to sleet, and their car park looked quite full which should have been a sign, but in we went. Opened the door and it was heaving, only one table empty which was right by the door, so Vin said shall we give it up and we did. That's a first for us, off to a Costa, go in and come straight out again!
We came home instead for our coffees and a warm and it was lovely. Little Jessie just about raised her head then went back to sleep again. Typical.
Today we are in which is nice, for a change, it's been a busy week so far really, not so much going on next week.
Not too long to wait for your cream!

Dobbies!
Dobbies yesterday before the end of the month for our free coffees. We needed a few other things also so we decided to go before the end of the month. Today is the dentist this afternoon at two and tomorrow is podiatry at Aintree so it was a case of fitting it in. Did a bit of shopping as well we needed shortbreads and a cake and mints etc., and it was a good chance to get those too.
Dentist today for a filling and other bits the bill they gave us last time was for £62 but some of that is covered by the medicash so that's ok. Just a matter of timing really getting out at the right time. It's only two deoors down so not far to go anyway!
Jane has d3ecided to let the house go because the location wasn't right for her and a few other thing that didn't gel. Wouldn't be suitable for a cat there really because very near a busy main road, and the parking looked bad too. Something else will turn up later on in the yeart I'm sure.
Little Jessie is carrying on as normal, didn't wake up when we got home just raised her head a bit then went to sleep again! Nice welcome thanks!

Technical Day!
Seems to be a day of technology today! Thank goodness that Vin is good with it all. First all the televisions needed retuning before anything could be watched. When I say all the televisions, we have the main one in the middle room, a small one in the kitchen, another in our bedroom and another in Jane's room. All quite small by modern standards but big enough for us. Also thedoorbellwent thismorning and a soaked postman delivered a parcel that Vin had ordered from the Express paper which was a phone with big numbers with bluetooth so he can use it in his car. the battery in his lder ne goes quite quicklyif the car isn't being used. to be honest the car isn't used every day so expect it goes quite quickly.
Vin has gone off to Homebase to get fittings for his outside light which has given up the ghost, the older one has gone but he did have a new one in store however the fittings are different, wouldn't you know it.At least it has stopped raining so a bit easier for getting round.
Yesterday we were at the podiatary clinic in Aintree where I went for foot dressing and also to be fitted with newslippers by Ashleigh. When we got there it was heaving, really busy for a change, and after an hour of waiting we were seen by Carol, a new one, very pleasant and who lives on a barge! How exciting. Apparently she had sold her house to buy a barge and lives on that most of the time. Wonder what that is like, lovely and cosy i should imagine.
Jessie has existed as she usually does, sleeping, playing a bit, and getting fed when she miaowed. Vin saud she came up for him this morning, he was in the middle room looking at the emails, and a little head appeared round the corner of the door and miaowed at himtill he got up and fed her! She tells you what she wants that cat.
Very insistent when she wants to be!

Tootsies Again!
Thrsday was an appointment with Mr butcher who usually does my tootsies when they need doing. problem is at present there is an ulcer on the top of one which is takng its time healing over, and there is bone showing so I now have some options, one is to try and make the foot flatter underneath so that the toe doesn't protrude, and remove the offending one, another is to remove most of the remaining toes on that foot, (which I don't fancy) and the third is to loeave all alone and see what happens. Grief what a choice.!
An appointment this wednesday with the foot lady to get a pair of slippers with neophrene tops so they don't rub, then possible with the podiatary after to get feet redressed.
This weekend has been storm Dennis, but it hasn't hit us here at all. Very badd in parts of Yorkshire, Hereford area and Wiltshire some areas of the country have been really badly hit and twice in two weeks as well. Terrible swhots on the news showing peoples houses flooded right up the walls amd everything ruined again.
Corono virus still hitting globally too, more affected on a cruise ship in japan and lots of different nationalities on board also. The Americans have been taken of also the Australians but not the English yet. The ones that were brought home from China and put into quarantine in Birkenhead have now all been cleared and been released last friday.
We still carry on as usual, routine things going on here, and little Jessie blissfully unaware of everything that is going on in the world.
Absolutely love this one. proper posing! Cream cake tonight too Jessie!

Foot Mouth and Ears!!
Vin says i am a one woman drain on the NHS this week! Yesterday I had an appointment with the hearing dept., of Specsavers at Formby clinic so quite handy, I explained the reason for being there and she asked me questions then did the hearing test which involved being in a soundproof booth listening for beeps in both ears. When that was done she tweaked the aids to make things a bit clearer because the hearing has deteriorated somewhat. Went from there to get petrol at Tesco but didn't go in for coffee we went home instead.
Today was the mouth bit, dentists for a checkup and repeat prescription for toothpaste. Had that done and got the script, all fairly clear so made an appointment for a couple of weeks to get a fillng done and tht was it, home for our coffee.Very impressed with the surgery therem all high tech and totally different from when nick had it, mind you Nick was lovely.
Tomorrow we are off quite early to see Mr Butcher re my toe again which is causing trouble for the podiatary girls. Shall have to wait and see what he says.
Poor Vin is being the transport minister and the social secretary arranging the appointments for everything. Bless him!
Jessie is all blissfully unaware of comings and goings, she just sleeps her way through everything.
Just raises when we come in thengenerally goes to sleep again. Wakes up for her cream though.

Stormy!
Yesterday was a bad day weatherwise. High winds and rain everywhere,People were told not to travel unless absolutely necessary, all due to Storm Ciarawhich has landed on us. Lots of flooding today, but wind not quite so bad although still very blowy indeed. There were pictures in the papers today of Euston station which had to be closed due to overcrowding, people so jammed in they couldn't move. and no trains leaving.
Vin didn't go out to Sainsbury's yesterday, and very wisely stayed in instead which was nice for a change actually. He has gone off there today instead to get the logs and coal from Home and Bargains and his shopping from sainsbury's also.
Jessie had a day in yesterday and looks to be doing the same today as well. She did a disappearing act yesterday afternoon and Vin went looking for her but couldn't find her, eventually she came into the middle room , just comes through the door and sits there waiting to be greeted like a long lost friend. odd little creature, bearing inmind we had a lovely fire going and it was cosy and warm. Oh well!
I've got you! lovely picture of Vin having a cuddle with his catty!

Little Outing!
Not really, it was a normal appointment at the podiatary clinic, quite an early one for ten in the morning. The idea was to see the Dr., on this one,as arranged the last time i saw them. When the toe was undone it appeared to be better to me but it seems that the bone is showing through so the tissue isn't healing over it. going to wait for the appointment in the other clinic with Mr Butcher next Wednesday to see what he says.
After the feet were redressed Vin went and got the car and we took ourselves off to M&S in the retail park to have a coffee there for a change, had a bit of a look round first because Vin wanted to get a new little pan but he didn't see the size he needed so we gave that up. He had a look at shirts but they didn't have the type he wanted so he gave that up as well. Picky bloke he is! Went for our coffee then quite busy but we did get a table. Queue was long but he got through, and he had an Americano with hot milk and I had my normal flat white which was really hot and very good. off we went to have a look at the foods, the vegan selection veggie selection was a bit disappointing but he did get some not chicken nuggets which look nice. think he is having those tonight with some rice and sauce. Got some really nice looking shortbread biscuits, we had one upstairs with our coffees and they are lovely. A few other bits and bobs but it was very busy as you would expect on a Friday. Homethen for lunchtime.
Jessie hadn't moved much, probably had a lovely quiet morning undisturbed.
Fast asleep, but no cream tonight, he did buy a small carton of lacto free cream from M&S though. Not just any cream, its M&S cream !!!

Appointments Day!
Had one yesterday morning t get my ear cleaned out at the Waterloo Ear Clinic. Morning one at eleven o'clock so not to early. Very nice lady who works at Aintree as a senior nurse practitioner in the ENT department and very professional. She looked at both my ears and said there was only a small amount of wax in the one I thought was blocked and maybe it was the hearing aids that needed servicing. We left there and I paid her for her consultation time having had good advice. She also gave me a referral letter for Aintree to the audio department for the future.
We went fromthere to Tesco to get a flan for tea and then home for our lovely coffee. Phone went and it was the dentists who are nexct door to us, to say that it was time I had a check up done so appointment made for next wednesday.
Vin also rang Specsavers to arrange a servicing for the aids and since I have had them for five years now so suppose it is time they were done. That is done in the clinic in formby and arranged for a week on Wednesday. Vin has entered all of these in the calendar, what a great social secretary he is!!
Jane went for a second viewing yesterday to a house she has been interested inin an area of Heaton Mersey which isn't far from Didsbury where she lives now. It is within her price range, with two bedrooms and a cellar which she says has been converted to make a utility area and extra space. She met the owners and had a chat with them learnt a bit about the house, so the next step is up to her.
Jessie didn't move much when we came home just sort of raised her head when we came in which is quite normal. Little jack from next door was trying to get in through our cat flap, he seems to like wandering about our house, but he frightens jessie and she runs off upstairs out of the way so Vin didn't let him in. He is a lovely cat, ginger and white with a beautiful face and big eyes. You have to look after jessie though.
On her way out of the way! never mind, there wil be a bit of cream cake later well the cream out of the middle anyway!

Another Week!
Anotherweek begins and so the time flows on. It was my brothers birthday yester feb 2nd, and he was 89. My big brother, haven't seen him since about 1968/9 but they do communicate quite often. The nice thing is that they have three girls and a boy over there in OZ and they post quite often on FB, hence we keep up with the news. Their children have mostly had children of their own too so get news of them too and John and Ann have great grandchildren now as well. Loads of them over there . I bet he was warmer there yesterday than we were here. Feb isn't exactly a good month to have a birthday here really.
Vin went off to do the shopping on Saturday and Sunday as normal, and got some provisions for the week to keep us going.
Two appointments this week, one on Wednesday morning to get my ear cleaned out. Been having a lot of trouble with my left one which is my good ear, and poor Vin has to endure the tele a bit too high, well probably a lot too high if truth were told, but he is very tolerant. The other is Friday morning at Aintree to get the foot looked at again and dressed.
Big thing this week was the Brexit event, but the country doesn't feel any different, just things happening the same as usual. Hasn't affected Jessie much at all. As long as she gets her food and is watered and gets the occasional treat f a bit of cream she is happy!
Watching out for the cat from next door, the boy one is keen to get in our house for some reason, the little girl one we haven't seen much at all, she just sits in the window looking pretty. Jack is far more adventurous, and comes and has a nosey. Jessie isn't very keen on that, and mostly disappears upstairs to go under Jane's bed!
