Washing Day..

Tuesday so it's washing day. Easily done though, better than the old days. Vin has hung some sheets outside. Ever hopeful they will dry. It's nice and sunny but coldish.
He went into Formby this morning to get his sunglasses. Specsavers rang up this morning to say they were in and ready to collect so off he went. He was also going to Waitrose which is just over the road to get our veggies for the week. Came back for his coffee a bit disappointed because they didn't have any of our pasties. Ah well try again another day!
jane has just rung up having a chat about her shoulder which is flaring up again. She went to the doctors who put her back on her tablets but she says they knock her out and she can't function at uni. Hope it clears up soon for her. Short and sweet today because I was talking to her so couldn't type.
Tonight we are having:
Lemon and black pepper escalope
bread sauce
Baked hasselback potatoes
Carrots and broccoli

April Running Out..

Already nearly the end of April, which meant that our coffee vouchers for the Ladygreen garden centre over the road would expire, so off we went there this morning. Went up the bypass to tesco first and Vin ran in to get a few mushrooms and other bits like his cheap beer! first. He had a voucher for £1 off a six pack of low alcohol beer and when he went in he found that they had reduced it anyway..so he got six cans for 50p. Not bad eh!
He got a few other bits and was out in ten minutes. A lot quicker than I would have been.  We then went back along the bypass to Ince to the garden centre. I wanted a look round first to see if I could see anything for Ann for her birthday and both of us had a good browse round but didn't see anything. Must admit I'm really stumped this year, it was a real pain not getting the DVD of the Call the Midwife, that would have been just right.
We gave up on that and went for our coffee. Quite busy in there, loads of people stuffing their faces at lunchtime! we got our coffees and had taken our own biscuits, the same as the ones they sell for £1 a packet!! but we had bought a box for round about that!
Pretty ordinary weekend and it was quite cold too so Vin lit a fire both evenings, very nice, warms the house up beautifully.  Forgot to say on Friday's blog that we won £50 on the Mail on Sunday crossword this week. This is one where you have to enter by text with the number of letter A's in the crossword. You can't send it by post any more, and we were quite sceptical, but clearly it is genuine.
Tonight we are having:
Pizza with cheese and tomato and mushrooms
Green salad with avocado and baby plum tomatoes
Potato salad for moi and butterbean and rice salad for Vin.

Friday 26 April 2013

Little Outing..

We decided to go out this morning for a bit of a mooch, so we went over to the M&S in Aintree.  Had a good look round, I was looking for something for Ann to go into her birthday parcel, but didn't see anything. Must say i was very disappointed with their clothing ranges. very thin tops with no substance to them, and very expensive. Think I'll stick to Quacker Factory from QVC.
Enjoyed a good cup of coffee in their cafe..which could do with enlarging, we had to queue for a table and be seated. Trouble is it is the only place on the retail park where you can get a coffee so it does tend to be busy. Had another look round but still didn't see anything so we went round the food hall. Got some of the stuff for the weekend and a few treats as well. They do have good foods in M&S. We have a system now, i say what we want and Vin goes off to get them..very good.
Funny weather today. very sunny when we went out, but windy so cold..wouldn't exactly say it was hot. Then when we got home the Heavens opened, now it is sunny again! What a country! Apparently down South it is really warm with temps of 22degrees Very odd.
Tonight we are having:
Fishless fingers
green beans for moi and mushy peas for Vin
Chips
Tartare sauce.

Thursday 25 April 2013

Returns!!

For the second day on the run i have received a parcel that has to be returned. Yesterday it was the DVD that I had ordered from Amazon to send to Australia but it was the wrong region, so that had to go back.  Today I got a parcel from QVC which was a jacket that I had ordered. Looked nice on screen and on the information online, but in reality it was horrible. Very thin material, garish pattern and sleeves that would flap in a breeze like sails! So, going back. Vin is on very intimate terms with the people at the Post Office nowadays!
Didn't go out anywhere today I didn't feel like it, but Vin went off to Formby to Specsavers to get a pair of prescription sunglasses.  By the time they had taken off their offers, and you get the money off medicash they will only cost a few pounds. It is a great scheme the Medicash, I went to the dentist the other day and will get most of that back, which at £49 was quite an item.
When he had done at Specsavers he nipped over to Tescos because we had run out of a few things, so that was it for the day really.
Tonight we are having:
Quorn pasties
Mushroom gravy
little baked potatoes
remaining veggies left in fridge.

Bath..Book and Candles!!

This is a big deal for me! I had a bath this afternoon for the first time since my fistula problem started. I have had showers with no problems but haven't enjoyed my long lingering bath with my book, my candle, a good bath foam and my little bar of fun size Toblerone! So yes it was a big deal..and a real treat. Just part of the learning curve i suppose but it all went fine and no trouble. So lovely to sit in a proper bath luxuriating with my candles. Hooray!!
Did the kitchen floor this morning and returned the "Call the Midwife" DVD to Amazon because unfortunately it was the wrong region code . It is regin 2 for Europe etc.,but Australia needs region 4 which is a real pain in the neck. So back it has gone, and I shall have to think of something ese.
Very quiet day today otherwise apart from the Jenny laundering which was lovely..didn't do much.
Tonight we are having:
Pasta with a tomato and mascarpone sauce
Asparagus and carrots and mushrooms
 Garlic bread for Vin

Tuesday 23 April 2013

Out Again..

Off over to Ormskirk this morning. vin rang up Holland and Barratt to see if they had the fishless fingers and they did so that decided us. We parked behing M&S in the little car park which was quite quiet, and went into H&B first. Bought three pack and a pack of fishless steaks too so stocked up for a while.
Vin wanted to get a few things from Boots with a voucher he had, and I wanted some stuff from Superdrug. They've moved absolutely everything in Superdrug and I had a hard job finding what I wanted but got there in the end. Bought a nice new nail varnish from Bourgois called Taupe quite pleased with that.  i sat on the bench by the clock waiting for Vin to finish up not having the Bon Marche is still a big blow, I so miss that shop. Lovely sitting there but the smell of coffee from Costa was knocking me out!!
Went back to the car and then down to Morrisons for our beg shopping. had a pleasant coffee in there..very cheap and again quite quiet too. Then did our veg shopping but a bit disappointed with the range today, didn't seem to have a good amount of what we usually buy. Got enough to see us through though, and other bits and bobs that we don't get anywhere else. Nice pleasant morning really.
I think we will have to stop in tomorrow wev'e been out two days on the run now!!!
Tonight we are having:
Escalope possibly cheese and broccoli
Mushroom sauce
baked baby potatoes
carrots and broccoli.

Monday 22 April 2013

Out Today..

Nice little outing this morning. Vin and I took ourselves off to Dobbies for our April coffees. lovely Spring day with the daffodils in full bloom although they are really late this yesr. dobbies were selling hanging baskets, but we thought it was a bit early yet, it is still quite cold at night, and there is still a bit of colour in the hanging baskets in the back garden outside the kitchen window.

Had a bit of a mooch about before we had our coffees and I saw a woodden bench set that was really sturdy and comfortable to sit on so decided to get one for the better weather.  The table and chairs that we have in the patio area are really uncomfortable to sit on for any length of time, and these would make a really nice addition to the garden.  I think they are called a Jack and Jill set, and have a little table in the middle to put mugs or glasses on. lovely hard wood too. Vin reckons he has a 10% voucher somewhere which would be a bit of money off them so he says he will go back at the weekend. it is £199 but well worth it I think.
So we then went for our coffees. very quiet in the cafe part with only a few people about. he had a flat white and I had an Americano. Very nice too. Then we went to the food hall area and bought some mint crisps and a box of shortbread rounds, not big purchases today.
Timed the journey back since it was exactly 1 o'clock when we left and it was twenty past when we got back. Doesn't take long to get there and back, nice place to go actually.
Tonight we are having:
Leftover pizza with
Green salad and avocado and baby plum tomatoes
Potato salad for moi and pasta salad for Vin.

Friday 19 April 2013

Toothy pegs...

Up fairly early this morning because I had an appointment at the Dentist. Only 10.00 so didn't have to get up with the lark or anything, and since the Dentist is only two doors down it wasn't far to go.
Two fillings today, one up and one down, a tooth at the back that is more filling than tooth but has been going for years and years. Numbed the gums up and down so took till lunchtime before I stopped feeling like my lip wasn't mine. Came home with my receipt in my hot ittle hand for £49 and Vin filled in my medicash form, so should get most of that back. Had my money's worth from that firm.
Beautiful sunny day today but still a tad cold. Very Springlike though and the trees are beginning to show the green shoots of recovery.
news still full of the bombings in boston where the city is on the lookout for one of the bombers. They have apparently shot one of them but there is still one on the loose. Must be whack jobs.  I thought the girl on the news said they were from Cheshire and went to boston ten years ago, but vin has just said they were from Chesyna!!!! Oh the joys of wearing hearing aids!! and having bad ears...
My orchid plant that Vin bought me two and a half years ago is at the moment in flower again. beautiful flowers and a real easy plant to tend. Vin keeps it watered and pruned at the right time, and she responds by putting up new shoots every so often that last for an age. my other one which is white is presently putting out new shoots too but not in bud yet. Won't be long though.
Tonight we are having:
Cheese and onion pasties from Waitrose,
A few mushrooms sauteed and a few green beans for moi
Rice puddings from Waitrose that are totally yummy!!

Thursday 18 April 2013

Delivery...

We had to stay in today because we were expecting a delivery from the Bullen's healthcare people. it usually comes at around lunchtime but you can never be sure. it did actually.  Everything on the list, now I seem to be well stocked up, in fact it is quite hard to find somewhere to store everything. The boxes are quite bulky and the other bits and bobs too but we have a chest outside the bathroom which is useful. Good job!!
Spent the morning doing the ironing waiting for the bell to ring. All the bedding needed doing which is a bit of a faff because it is cotton and gets creased but well worth doing. Looks lovely when it is done and on the bed. Have three sets so at least they don't have to be turned round in the day.
terrible wind last night. When we went to bed you could hear it whistling up the chimney breast, quite scary, we didn't have a fire last night, in fact we haven't had a fire for about a week now. Good job last night or the chimney would have caught.
There is a touch of Spring in the air round about at the moment. The Spirea in the front garden is beginning to get some colour and the trees and shrubs that we can see from the back windows starting to yellow up a bit. Very late though.
The three hanging baskets outside the back kitchen window are full of primroses Bless them. They have flowered through all of the terrible weather we have had. Sitting there with snow all over them, and they still come up with beautiful flowers. Gorgeous.
Tonight we are having:
Pasta with a sauce possible cheese
Mixed green vegetables
garlic bread for Vin.

Wednesday 17 April 2013

What a grey day!!

Today it is a sort of grey day. Darkish when we woke up this morning, and stayed sort of like that all day. Looked like rain but nothing much materialised.
Margaret Thatchers funeral today so the news is full of it all. She has had a State funeral withThe Queen and Prince Phillip attending, plus assorted celebrities. Of course it was a good showcase for David Cameron who made the most of it. All over now thank goodness, the papers have been full of it for the past two weeks, page after page of comment, articles and photographs.  I still don't get why she had a State funeral..you would think she was a Royal.
Didn't go out again today. Nobody can get going enough to go anywhere, and lets face it there really isn't anywhere much to go from here. Vin took himself off to Tesco because we had run out of a few things including his coffee whitener etc., so he took his little list and got everything on it.
These are some photos that vin took yesterday. The flowers are called Glory of the Snow. very apt, and a beautiful colour. they have survived all that horrible weather that we have had over the last few months. The daffodils in the barrel are looking particularly good this year, but very late. we think everything is about a month later than they should be.
You can see they are looking lovely at the moment, but they are usually in flower round about Mothers Day or at Easter which has well gone now.
Tonight we are having:
Baked Potatoes with baked beans for Vin and a bit of cheese for moi.
Maybe a pudding to follow, since we still have two creme brulees in the fridge.

Tuesday 16 April 2013

Washing Day!!

My mum always used to do the washing on a Monday..then it would be hung around the house to dry in various places. must have been a nightmare of a job. All those cotton sheets to be washed and ironed, in the Winter. Now we have our washing machines and Tumble driers and steam irons and we still moan. So it is bedding day today since we didn't go out anywhere.
Quite a nice day today too, the sun is shinng and Vin has taken some pics of the Spring flowers which are out in full bloom but very late this year. The little daffodils in the barrel at the front of the house are tete-a-tete and are really lovely.

I still haven't got the hang of adding pics to this blog using the info given but will get there one day. Just wish the computer wasn't such a mystery. It seems to have a mind of its own and won't do what I need it to do. Vin says it is intuitive, but I just think my intuitionisn't that good yet. The words are jumping about and driving me mad now!!
Tonight we are having:
Escalope with potato croquettes
Mixed vegetableswith a sauce

Warming Up!!

Definitely picking up a bit. So much so that we haven't had a fire for the last two nights. Presently the sun is shining and streaming through the windows in Jane's room, klovely and bright.
Vin had a bit of a television weekend. The picture was decidedly dodgy on friday after the digital retuning, so he was fiddling about with it, but wasn't really getting anywhere. The cnnections to the aerial box was faulty he decided, so on Saturday afternoon after another fruitless twiddling he went off to Maplins in Aintree to get another box. Came back, fitted it and Hey Presto it's working perfectly. Well done again Mr Fixit! What a clever man.
he went off to Crosby this morning got me a new battery for my roberts radio. It's a lovely old fashioned red roberts, always looks good and works perfectly.  Then he went to Sainsburys to get some veggies. Maybe we can get out somewhere tomorrow.
jane rang up just a few minutes ago, she is in the Children's hospital for two days this week, but isn't terribly impressed. Doesn't think she would like to work in there full time.
Tonight we are having:
Pizza left from last night,
A little bit of salad with tomatoes and avocado
Potato salad and pasta salad for Vin

Friday 12 April 2013

Still Got Colds...

Grrr...hanging on in there. I think mine is going but I have an annoying tickly cough which is a pest. Vin's is still a bit chesty, but he says it is clearing up now.
He took himself off to tesco this morning since we had run out of a lot of things like milk etc., He went off with his list and got everything on it. terrific shopper he is now.
Odd phone call from the bank this morning..at least I thought it was.I didn't give out any details and queried who she was. She gave me a number to ring back which was for my bank but wasn't any good because none of the three phone choices fitted what I wanted. Anyway she rang back after lunch and it turned out it was to query a cheque that I had written withdrawing money from my account to put into an ISA. My signature was different from the one they had on file apparently. Probably because my writing is shaky these days. Aaah well it was put through anyway so that is done.
Tonight we are having:
Crispy quorn fillets
Chips 200grms
mushy peas for Vin and green beans for moi
Tartare sauce.

Thursday 11 April 2013

Bloomin Cold!!

We just don't sseem to be able to get rid of our colds at all. Firstly I had one which lasted around a day, the a bit later Vin got a really nasty dose which lasted about a week, and he is still coughing and spluttering. His went to his chest and really took hold poor lad. Then yesterday mine seemed to come back again but aa tickly throaatcough and sneezing. Can't believe it has rresurfaced. Feel very tired and a bit w3obbly today too.  Why do we keep getting these things. GO AWAY !!!!
So, we didn't go out anywhere today, and Vin spent the morning fiddling with the television in the middle room which is still not getting some of the major channels. You can get them on through the video hard drive but not on the ordinary television. I think he is beginning to come to the conclusion that it is the television and a blip on the software. I have no idea at a ll. It is a complete mystery to me, but I was never any good at technical things.
I was supposed to get a phone call from Bullens the healthcare people about my colostomy bag supplies but at the time to typing no-one has called.I'll ring them tomorrow if I don't heat by then.
Tonight we are having:
Crustless cheese and onion flan
A few baby potatoes sliced and sauteed
Small tin of spaghetti hoops.
All out of the freezer and storecupboard!!

Wednesday 10 April 2013

Blasted TV Channels!

Vin got up this morning to make the coffee as usual, and I thought he had been taking a long time. Just thought he was watching the news as he does. When he came back he said there was a problem with the televisions and there were no channels. All the screen was showing was "no signal" Apparently they have been twiddling the digital channels and everything has disappeared.
he actually spent the most of the morning tweaking and retuning teh tele in the middle room. The one in the kitchen he did quite quickly and the one in Jane's rom. The one in the middle room is our main one though and that proved to be more of a problem.  Thing is..there wasn't any warning, or anything telling you what to do. What are they playing at? Vin reckons it's all about money and selling more channels to mobile companies. probably right.
Poor Vin..he isn't a happy bunny at the moment. We've hardly been out for ages, he still has a cough and says he still has a sore throat, and that's a week now since his cold started. Oh Dear!
I got a parcel today from QVC also which was a pair of leggings that were miles too big. Grrrr!
Tonight we are having:
Pasta in a cheese sauce
A few mushrooms to go with and a piece of garlic bread for Vin.

Tuesday 9 April 2013

Rest and Recuperation...

Out and about yesterday and what turned out to be a rreally awkward day so we stopped in todayDidn't have anything planned so Vin sorted my money out for me. I wanted to transfer some money from my current account to another one where I have ISAs so he got that organised. great having your own personal accountant!!
Very quiet otherwise. Post was rubbish, the majority of it went straight into the recycling bag, and no parcels either.Vin takes the recycling over to the bins umpteen times a week. Goodness knows what we did before recycling!
Papers are full of Margaret Thatcher and everything about her. She seems to be a Marmite woman. You love her or you hate her..I'm afraid I fall into the latter category for what her and her government did to education . Terrible.
Short and sweet today..can't think of anything to say of interest!!
Tonight we are having:
Mince and potato pie..Quorn
Mushroom gravy
Carrots and beans
mashed potato.

Monday 8 April 2013

Thought we were doing well!

Yet another appointment for moi this morning. This time at the Nephrology clinic at 12.00. We left the house at aboput 11.10 and actually got there very quickly. Vin went to park the car and I gave my letter in at the desk. Waiting room was heaving..people everywhere but my name was called in a few minutes actually. Went round to clinic 6 and did the weight, blood pressure and sample bit then sat round the corner to wait. Stayed around half an hour before the Dr called me in. She spent a lot of timelooking at the computer, going over things that had been happening, iron levels still a bit low, so she ordered another blood test to be done and that was it. Went round the corner to where the bloods are done..Horrors! massive great queue, I took a ticket and I was 74 and they were on 62 !! Be prepared for a long wait!! so I sat and waitied for an age, gave Vin a ring to say that I was stuck in the blood test queue which was good. Used the mobile for a proper call!  Eventually...got into the bloods room, it moved really slowly, and went down to the foyer and rang Vin again. he was actually in front waiting Bless Him. He took us to a deserted car park and we had a nice coffee and biscuit to put us on. Well it was 1.30 ish.
Decided to drive towards home and go up to Tesco for some basics. he said he would run in and get them it would be quicker. Probably right. Told him to get some nice sandwiches so he got a meal deal, then I got worried because he said he was wiloted again after that little trip!! he still isn't over his man cold, but his cough is better. Aaah he's had a real dose of it. Stayed in all weekend so we had other things than pizza. Made a change actually.
Funny thing was on the way home we went over a canal bridge at Aintree which is never closed. Today...it was! typical..three big barge type boats going through, and all you can do is wait. Cars behind us tooting and blowing their horns! What did they think we were going to do..take a flying leap over the canal and the barges!! Stupid.
Tonight we are having:
Something out of the freezer
Mixed veggies
Baby potatoes
White sauce with mushrooms.

Friday 5 April 2013

Man Cold!

poor Vin..he has a reall bad dose of the man cold. I wonder of it is another strain of the virus that little Rusty and me had last week?  Possibly co-incidence.His has gone to his chest and he was developing a  nasty cough so I sent him over the road to get some cough mixture. he says he is achy and clearly a bit sleepy so I've left him to it.  Aaaah!
Doorbell went before with a parcel that the dintist had taken in for us. it was a Costa mug that Jane had sent for Vin. Lovely insulated mug with Costa along the side, done in their marroon colour. Really nice.
So not a lot doing today Vin did some tidying up and I worked a bit on John and Anns letter. Can't think of a lot to say really since we haven't done much over the last few months. So, mainly I write rubbish, just chat.
Very dull today and cold ooking. There is racing at Aintree today and the presenters are in thick woollen coats and scarves, but the silly girls are in their flimsy outfits. Must be mad. They'll all be off next week with colds.
Tonight we are having:
Cheese and onion pasties from Waitrose
A few little bits of veg that are left,
Rice pudding from Waitrose.

Thursday 4 April 2013

NHS

Well I have had a NHS day today. Started with a visit to the dentist this morning to get a filling replaced. Not too onerous because it is only two doors down and the gable end of our terraced block.  I've been going there since he opened and know him well.  Got the filling done and made an appointment to have another one replaced on the 19th April.
The did a little bit of ironing because Vin had naughtily done some of the bedding, so I finished that off.
Had a bit of a fiddle on the computer then coffee followed by lunch later.
Poor Vin has a cold, the one probably that he got from me or little Rusty or both. His is a throaty one with the sneezing and the snuffles. Aaaah proper man cold.
Jane rang at lunchtime very quickly because she was going off to have drinks with her college friends from last year. She was only getting coke though she said because she wants to do more of her work tomorrow. Good girl.
Then I had another appointment at 4.00 with the Doctor over the road. He said my blood count was still low and was suggesting that I saw a haemotologist to find out why. Then I said I had an appointment on Monday with the nephrology clinic at Aintree, so he then thought that it would be better to leave it to them because it may just be the kidney problems causing it.  Oh dear..if it isn't one thing it's another.  All I seem to have done since I retired is keep hospital appointments!
At least little Rusty is better. Her nose is cleared up now for the time being anyway.
Tonight we are having:
Something from the freezer,
The rest of the baby potatoes sliced and fried.
mixed veggies..green beans squash and carrot

Wednesday 3 April 2013

Funny little Cold.

had a horrible cold yesterday afternon and evening. Sneezing, running nose sore nose the works, tears in eyes and muzzy head. Went to bed at the normal time last night and woke up this morning and it's gone! What a strange little cold that was. Now Vin says he has sneezed a lot today so hope he isn't getting it. I wonder of yu can catch things from cats? They are quite close to us sometimes, and little Rusty has had this sinus thing going on for the last week, although (touch wood) that seems to be better.
I didn't do much today, we stripped the bed this morning so that is drying now as I type, that will mean a pile of ironing later on in the week.
Vin went off to Homebase to get some more logs for the fire, funny they still have some, usually they stop selling them because they are "seasonal" and we are supposed to be buying garden stuff now! He also called in at Waitrose to get me some money from the cash machine, and also see if they had any cheese and onion pasties. They didn't have any yesterday but did today, so he is a happy bunny.
Jane rang up twice today. Once this morning to tell me about her banking experience. She has reduced her overdraft with the NatWest because she has two accounts with free overdrafts on them with other places, and she didn't want to keep paying the charges with the NatWest. Good girl, she is really very good with her money..I am very proud of her. Then she rang up later on her way to the restraunt where she was meeting some people from work for a buffet lunch. Aaah hope she enjoys herself.
Tonight we are having:
Pasta with a tomato sauce
garlic bread for Vin
Butternut squash to go with.

Tuesday 2 April 2013

The Sun is Shining But...

It's still cold!  We went out this morning to Waitrose to get the veggies for the week. Trouble with the shopping now is that I think Vin thinks I am slowing him down! probably true because i browse more and keep asking him how much is this or that, but he is very patient. he goes off to get the things on the list, and I just wander up and down the aisle looking at stuff. All works out in the end though.  Funny today, we were passing the paper tissues and I was looking for a small box to fill a container that we have, and didn't see any. came home and started sneezing and have a runny nose now. was my mind telling me something I wonder. I'll say one thing. Kitchen roll is NOT kind to the nose!
Think my body is falling to bits. Last night when I was having our mid afternoon coffee a filling came out of a tooth too.  Anyway went and made an appointment at the dentist..only two doors down for Thursday 10.30 so two appointments on Thursday, the other in the afternoon to get the results of the blood test done last week. Here we go again poor Vin he must be sick of trailing round to all these appointments. It's getting better though slowly but surely.
Tonight we are having:
Escalope of some sort from the freezer
Baby potatoes baked in the oven
Green beans and broccoli,
mushroom sauce

Monday 1 April 2013

Surprise!!

Very surprised on saturday. Jane rang up on Saturday morning to say that she had ordered some new trainers and had put the wrong address on the delivery and they woud be coming here. I said that's ok we would be in all day. Then the doorbell went at lunchtime and Vin came back with a beautiful bouquet of Spring flowers from Interflora. That was a surprise..little fibber...trainers indeed! Flowers look really lovely and were all in bud so they should last ages.
She rang up this morning on her way to the shops. Needed a new bag and some other new clothes. Rang back later n when she had got her shopping to say she hagot everything  and spent too much. On her way back to the car, she passed an arcade and since she had a pocket full of change she went in to get rid of it and won £200. Right shuffed she was, paid for all her shopping, her meal out next week and new trainers. Well done! Not that I am advocating going into arcades mind...but there again we do the Lottery..and haven't won anything on that at all really.
Vin went out today into Crosby to get some cat food from home and Bargain, and other bits. he said it was really bitter out, even though the sun is shining and it's warm through the glass. He said there was quite a lot open there, everything but the cake shops, and the odd charity shop.
Little Rusty doesn't seem to bad today. Vin says her nose is drying up a bit now. taking a bit longer than last time but she is getting there. like her mum!!i wish I had some of her energy though!! Maybe when the weather gets a bit better they will go out more, although Rusty follows Vin into the garden when he is out there.
Tonight we are having:
Leftover pizza with mushroom and cheese
Lettuce with baby plum tomatoes and avocado
potato salad for moi and a couscous salad for Vin.
