A Normaaal Day!

Just a nice normal day for us after Christmas. Everything gone now and put away all done and dusted.
Vin went off to formby this morning because the village shop had run out of the paper that he gets on a Monday which has a general knowledge crossword in it that he ikes doing. Also for some reason he didn't have any cow biscuits left this morning which is unusual because he normally has a stock of them. He only had one left which he had given to me and I hadn't noticed that he didn't have one. What a saint! Polish the halo Vin!  For some reason yesterday the edge of the shed roof had come off too so he went to price up roofing felt at Homebase and at the building suppliers (Which was dearer too). Now waiting for a drier day to fix it.
I was trying to get on a bit with the letter to go with the birthday parcel for our John who's birthday is on the 2nd of Feb., but having to send it to Australia you have to think ahead. At least his birthday will be a bit warmer than it would be here. February is quite often a very grey month here with not a lot happening apart from Valentine's day.
Jessie has had a nice quiet time of it lately. Vin came home from  Crosby yesterday with a new carton of Otex ear drops for me because the other one had run out. He put it on the little chair by the door in the living room and she went to it about three or four times during the evening. Makes you wonder whaat it has in it, maybe some essence of catnip perhaps??
Did I hear you say Crosby? Goody that means cream cake!!!
