News From Australia!

Had a message on Facebok yesterday that my brother had passed away in the morning.  So sad to hear this, I was beginning to think he was invincible. He had breathing problems, but thankfully nothing to do with the virus, Ruth, their middle daughter said he passed away peacefully in his sleep.
John was born on the 2.2.1931 and died on the 7.7.20 so not quite ninety.
What a life! married to Ann for well over 60 years, four children, three girls and  one boy, lots of grandchildren and now great grandchildren too. Emigrated to Australia twice, the first time to Brisbane, the second to Perth where they settled. The second time they went, he went first to earn the money to send for Ann and the children. They have all settled and married in different areas of Oz., and the girls are in close touch. They also a number of years ago went twice round the coast of Australia in a camper van, quite a feat in itself. The children were all grown up by then, so they did it on their own with the cat too.  Always kept in touch, and we have seen their oldest girl twice which was lovely, when they came to iverpool. John doesn't write often but always bery interesting and witty letters in that lovely neat writing that he had. Poor Ann, she must be devastated, so glad she has the girls close to her.
Vin is still  having car trouble with the dreaded battery, he had borrowed our next door neighbours battery charger but he has just rung up to say that he is still outside the house and it still won't start! What a pain for him. The idea was to go off to Formby to get a new battery and do the Tesco shop, but he has given up on that.
Jessie was up early again, half past six to be xact, and wanted feeding. That was nice of her!
Our John 2.2.31-7.7.20 R.I.P.
