R.I.P. Little Dipsy. XX
Started on Sunday, when our Jane rang is to say that dipsy was under the weather and she was worried about her. She hadn't yet booked them in with a vets but on Monday she did register with a practice in Cheadle. We said that she would probably pick up the next day and that all of our cats had had off days. True enough it did pick up a bit the next day but was still a bit subdued. However, over the next few days it became apparent to her that something wasn't right. so yesterday she booked an appointment in withthe vets to get her seen. Dipsy was totally off her food and listless and not doing anything except sitting in one place The vet kept her in and gave her fluids and anti sickness medicine and jane brought her home last night. They also did an x-ray which showed that Dipsy had very small kidneys and also a hernis of the diaphragm involving the heart and lungs, but she was going to seek advice from a vetinary hospital and would let jane know.
She rang us this morning t say that she had just taken dipsy back to the vets because poor little Dipsy was really suffering, she had tried to get to her water bowl but her legs gave way and she had collapsed. The worst news followed that D
ipsy had to be put to sleep. Heartbreaking news, so quick only a week from her being under the weather to her passing away. Dipsy was such a sweet little cat and would snuggle up to Jane in her bed to keep her company. So very sad. So very unfair.
