In the "olden" days my mum always used to do the washing on a Monday, and the whole house used to smell of washing. Steam everywhere and normally washing draped over clothes maidens and anywhere near the fire.the next day would then be ironing and so the week woud go. No tumble drier, no washing machine much and a mangle. "The good old days?" Maybe not.
A lovely day today so the washing was put out on the line to dry which saves the tumble drier for one thing, and the sun will dry them beautifully, as long as it doesn't rain. At the moment it is cracking the flags so it looks fine.
No appointments till Wednesday at the podiatry clinic so we stopped in today. The appointment this week is for 3 o'clock so not too bad this week at all.
Jane rang up just before coffee time on her way to Tesco to do some shopping for bits. She ws going to make a pasta bake so she had some meals to take in to work when she does her nights etc., they lookedreally nice, and she sent a picture of what she had for her dinner, looked lovely with the salad on the side.
No little catty visitors around today yet, he thinks that our neighbour has gone out so has probably locked them inside. The little boy cat seems to be a bit of a naughty boy so is better keeping an eye on him.Jessie hasn't been around much either but did come into the middle room at lunchtime. Flopped on the floor and looked very comfortable.
Good news Jessie, Vin got thelastcream cake in Sainsbury's on Sunday. You are fine for this week so far looking good. Thankyou Daddy!
