So say the papers this morning, at least the two we read on a Monday anyway. A few more relaxations such as people can meet in small groups in gardens etc., can't say that is going to affect us much but there we go!
A bit of a blow last week when the washing machine made a horrendous noise at the end of a cycle. Sounded dreadful and was telling us that it had given up the ghost. Not repairable any more, gone are the days when you would get a little man to come and mend it for you, so it was a trawl on the internet to see what was aavailable. Vin rang up the shop in Formby where we got our dryer from and our last washing machine from and the chap there told him there was a nationwide shortage of white goods due to the pandemic. Factories not producing as many, workers laid off etc. They didn't have the one we wanted in stock a Hotpoint, but they did have Hoover but it would be after Easter for delivery. Vin came down to tell me then he went back to order it and the chap said they had checked their stock and they had one actually in their warehouse, so they can do it on Wednesday. So that is the big delivery this week. they will take the old one away for about twenty quid so that is sorted as well. One of the blessings of dealing with a small ffirm instead of the big ones who don't vare what happens. Great!
Apart from that nothing going on this week much unless something else transpires. Little Jessie woke him up at six o'clock this morning. The clocks went forward on Saturday night so I expect that has affected her rhythm somewhat. I felt her on the bed jumping around, then Vin got up to feed her. Later when he went down for our coffee she was asleep on her blanket. What a nice life. All is well in Jessie's world!
Not too early for breakfast yet is it?
