Not really a day, more of a morning really. I had to have a blood test done at Aintree hospital about the Aranesp injections. I get one done every so often to check levels. It was due this week so we went yesterday morning. What a difference from the ast time we were there! Very quiet, the nly people we saw were hospital staff, very few others, since the clinics are obviously not up and running properly yet. Vin dropped me off at the front of Elective care and I waited while he parked the car, then we went up to get it done. We had our masks on like we are supposed to, and there was hand gel at the entrance anyway.and boxes of masks if anyone wants one. Must say they are very uncomfortable, especially if you have glasses on, because it steams them up.
Jane says the new rule in her hospital is for everyone to wear one all the time, and it's making everyone grumpy now. Formerly they only had to wear one when dealing with a patient now it is all the time. Sign of the times!
After the blood test was done it was not off to the Costa as we would have done, but along the road home again. Our Homebase in Formby is closing down, and we needed a blacout blind for the middle room, so we carried along the by-pass to there. Just beginning to rain and the queue outside was moderate, so Vin went off to join that. Good timing because it started to teem quite heavivy but he was undercover. He came back later with one at 10% off so that was a help. Job done.
Home for coffee, and lo and behold there was another letter on the map, guess what for? Another blood test, for another department. What a pain, so the whole procedure will have to be repeated in a few weeks.!
Jessie hadn't moved much, Vin leaves the radio on for her so that she has some noise around, but I think she was asleep in the front room on the footstool and couldn't care less where we were!
Look at me ready for tickling my belly!
