What a grey day!!

Today it is a sort of grey day. Darkish when we woke up this morning, and stayed sort of like that all day. Looked like rain but nothing much materialised.
Margaret Thatchers funeral today so the news is full of it all. She has had a State funeral withThe Queen and Prince Phillip attending, plus assorted celebrities. Of course it was a good showcase for David Cameron who made the most of it. All over now thank goodness, the papers have been full of it for the past two weeks, page after page of comment, articles and photographs.  I still don't get why she had a State funeral..you would think she was a Royal.
Didn't go out again today. Nobody can get going enough to go anywhere, and lets face it there really isn't anywhere much to go from here. Vin took himself off to Tesco because we had run out of a few things including his coffee whitener etc., so he took his little list and got everything on it.
These are some photos that vin took yesterday. The flowers are called Glory of the Snow. very apt, and a beautiful colour. they have survived all that horrible weather that we have had over the last few months. The daffodils in the barrel are looking particularly good this year, but very late. we think everything is about a month later than they should be.
You can see they are looking lovely at the moment, but they are usually in flower round about Mothers Day or at Easter which has well gone now.
Tonight we are having:
Baked Potatoes with baked beans for Vin and a bit of cheese for moi.
Maybe a pudding to follow, since we still have two creme brulees in the fridge.
