A Nice Breeze!

A little bit coler this morning, which comes as a pleasant change from the last couple of weeks when it has got steadily more warm as the time went on. very wilting weather, we are just not used to it here really. Even little Jessie was flopping on the carpet, trying to keep cool.
The internet seems to be playing up a bit so I shall keep this shortish and hope for the best. Didn't do one on Friday, it was just too hot and I couldn't be bothered so I left it for the day.
Vin has just come up to say that he was going out to water the garden but what they really need is a god shower of rain. The weather forecast though seems to be predicting  some weeks of this hot dry sunshine yet.
I don't remember sun like this for a long time, in fact the summer of 1976 was the record for me, it was weeks and weeks of the same, and we had a Minister of drought if i remember right. Hose pipe bans and all sorts. I was teaching Home Economics at the time and we had the kids cooking! All they wanted to do was put their heads down on their tables and sleep. Awful it was. You would come home melted !  Glad I have finished that job !
Little Jessie has just been outside with her daddy, he was sitting in the yard part which is a bit more shaded and the front door bel went. He said her ears pricked up when she heard that and ran to the door, it was a delivery man with a parcel for next door again. Another week, another parcel!
In the shade Daddy !
